Application: Amazon Ad and Promotion Manager

Last updated: 14 May 2026

1. Overview

The Amazon Ad and Promotion Manager ("the Application") is a private, single-operator tool used by the application owner to manage their own Amazon Seller Central and Amazon Advertising account via the official Amazon APIs. The Application is not offered to third parties and does not collect or process data belonging to any other user.

2. Data Accessed

Through the Amazon Ads API and Selling Partner API, the Application accesses data scoped to the account owner's authorized Amazon account, including:

3. How Data Is Used

Data retrieved from Amazon APIs is used exclusively to:

4. Data Storage

All data and OAuth credentials are stored locally on the operator's own infrastructure. Tokens are stored in encrypted form using environment-scoped secrets. No data is transmitted to third-party servers, analytics services, or advertising networks.

5. Data Sharing

The Application does not sell, share, transmit, or disclose any Amazon-derived data to any third party. Data leaves the operator's environment only when it is sent back to Amazon's own APIs as part of an authorized request.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Cached API data is retained only as long as needed for the operator's workflow and can be deleted at any time by clearing the local data store. OAuth tokens can be revoked at any time via the Amazon Seller Central or Advertising console; revocation immediately terminates the Application's access.

7. Security

The Application follows standard security practices: secrets stored outside source control, TLS for all API calls, principle-of-least-privilege scopes requested from Amazon, and local-only execution. The Application is not exposed to the public internet.

8. Compliance

The Application complies with the Amazon Acceptable Use Policy, the Amazon Ads API Terms of Service, and the Amazon Selling Partner API Data Protection Policy. Personally Identifiable Information (PII) returned by Amazon APIs (such as buyer names or shipping addresses in order data) is handled in accordance with Amazon's PII handling requirements and is not retained longer than required.

9. Children's Privacy

The Application is not directed at and does not knowingly process data of children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as the Application evolves. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any changes.
